Sharp jagged gestural white lines, like the turbulent whitecaps and spray of waves crashing to the shore, are trapped between rocklike expanses. Pulling back towards the center, similar to water caught in the cyclical nature of the tides, a gelatinous field of brown emerges, saturated by the flow traversing the canvas. While the soft and delicate nature

of pinks and creams in her palette suggests a sense of comfort, her mark-making and control of the paint reveal an almost aggressive sense of flowing motion.
