The abstraction of life itself takes form in “Beach”.
The soft dense sand texture, granulated and etched with lines, meets with the sea, beautiful tones of blue fading in and out as a wave of thick paint prepares to
crash at the water’s edge. The painted layers mirror the natural glimmer of the sunlight upon the oceanic surface, continually changing as the waves roll or the viewer moves around the piece. The sand changes hue as if the water still lingers and
remains with the push and pull of the tides.
We are mesmerized by the untethered nature of the sea.
